Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need Shopify Plus, or will Shopify Advanced work?

Shopify Plus is strongly recommended for this integration. The key reasons are API rate limits Shopify Plus offers significantly higher API call allowances, which are essential for real-time inventory sync during high-volume periods like Diwali sales. Plus also provides multi-location inventory, B2B features, Shopify Flow automation, and Script-based checkout customisation that Advanced does not. We assess feasibility with Advanced for lower-volume businesses during discovery.

We're already using NetSuite but it's not fully configured. Can you still integrate it with Shopify?

Yes, and this is actually the most common scenario. We work within your existing NetSuite setup, adding custom fields, saved searches, and workflow triggers as needed for the integration. If we identify configuration gaps during discovery missing tax codes, incomplete item masters, or chart of accounts issues we flag them and can remediate them as part of the engagement or separately.

How does the integration handle COD orders, which are a big part of our business?

COD is a first-class scenario in our India integration template. COD orders from Shopify are created in NetSuite with a specific payment method and status. When the courier company remits the collected cash, we reconcile their settlement report against NetSuite open receivables — matching COD payments to the correct invoices automatically. This is a workflow entirely absent in Western-built integration templates.

Can the integration handle our Diwali sale we process 5,000+ orders in a single day?

Yes. We architect the integration with queue-based message processing — orders are queued and processed in sequence rather than in real-time bursts that could exceed API limits. Shopify Plus's elevated API thresholds combined with our queue architecture ensure every order is captured and processed without loss, even at 5,000+ orders per day.

What payment gateways do you support for reconciliation in NetSuite?

We have pre-built reconciliation flows for Razorpay, PayU, CCAvenue, and Paytm Payment Gateway matching their daily settlement files against NetSuite customer payments. For UPI payouts and wallet credits we handle these as part of the gateway reconciliation. COD remittances from Delhivery, Shiprocket, and Ecom Express are also reconciled separately.

We have multiple warehouses a main DC, a 3PL, and a few dark stores. Can all of these be connected?

Yes. NetSuite's multi-location inventory is mapped to your Shopify Plus locations, and we configure order routing rules that determine which fulfilment centre receives each order based on proximity, stock availability, or shipping method. All locations feed into a single NetSuite inventory view, and Shopify always reflects accurate available stock across all locations.
